The “Do the Write Thing” essay contest is a program of the National Campaign to Stop Violence The Do the Write Thing Challenge gives middle school students an opportunity to examine the impact of youth violence on their lives. Through classroom discussions based on real-life based topical issues and writings, students are strengthening relationships between their teachers and themselves as well as their parents.
